Change to compact fluorescent light bulbs and save!
Begin saving today by taking the ENERGY STAR® "Change a Light" pledge. ENERGY STAR-qualified compact fluorescent light bulbs provide bright, warm light while using 75% less energy than standard lighting — they also generate 75% less heat and last up to 10 times longer. Replacing a 100-watt incandescent bulb with a 23-watt compact fluorescent bulb can save you up to $30 in energy costs over the life of the bulb. Learn more about ENERGY STAR lighting products.
CFLs are now available in a variety of shapes and sizes to meet the majority of your lighting needs. In addition, they are now more aesthetically pleasing with housings surrounding the spirals to physically mimic other types of light bulbs on the market while still providing the same energy savings of a regular CFL with the spiral exposed. Another great feature of CFLs today is that they are available in three different colors of light output depending on your personal preference: daylight, bright light and soft light. "
