Cash in on an electric water heater

Did you know that your home's second largest energy user is the hot water heater? Take control of your energy use by choosing an electric water heater and see how economical and efficient it can be.

No flames, no fumes, no flues

With an electric water heater, there is no pilot light to worry about, no fumes from gas or carbon monoxide, and no ventilation problems. An electric water heater is low maintenance and has a long life expectancy. It's also economical. A family of four can have all the hot water they need for about $30 per month.

Standard steel tank $100 rebate offer

You may be eligible for a $100 rebate if you have a single-family home, you convert from gas to electric water heating, and your water heater was your last gas appliance. Call 1-800-524-2421 for more information.

Marathon® $525 rebate offer

You may be eligible for a $525 rebate if you replace your gas water heater with an electric Marathon water heater. (This Marathon rebate offer cannot be combined with any other water heating offers.)

Solar & Heat Pump Water Heaters

You may be eligible for rebates up to $250 each if you install a 50 gallon or greater solar water heater or heat pump water heater. (The solar water heater or heat pump water heater rebate offers may be eligible for additional rebates if converting from natural gas. These rebates cannot be combined with the Marathon water heater rebate offer.)

FEDERAL TAX CREDITS:
Federal income tax credits are available for residential solar water heaters in the amount of 30% of the cost provided the solar water heater is certified for performance by the Solar Rating Certification Corporation or comparable entity endorsed by the State of Georgia.
